Great Chipper-shredder
We tried a 10 HP Yard Machine Chipper-Shredder that our son owns and found it was hard for this 75 year old to pull start.

The model 24A-452G700, 8 HP with 2" capacity is perfect for our needs which is mostly plants and rose bushes.

Powerful Tool
I am more than satisfied with the MTD 2" ChipperShredder.

This is an ideal machine for a medium sized yard where trimming trees and shrubs are necessary to keep the yard looking good.

I think it's well engineered, starts with one pull, and creates small sized mulch that can be spread throughout the yard and garden.

This is a powerful tool that if used according to instructions can save time and labor.

It can absolutely handle whatever you can shove down its throat. If it's too big for the chipper throat, it's firewood.

My only complaint is this machine has no clutch- it's direct drive. That makes it pretty hard to pull since you're turning the blades at the same time . The bag is leaves a bit to be desired!

I didn't want to be bothered emptying it probably every 5... more
